A homeowner on Ranna Crescent in Sydney had quite a scare on Monday this week. Just after she finished mowing her lawn between 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm, she heard a loud noise and a car crashed into her backyard.

Officers arrested a female driver on the scene. The homeowner believes that she was likely intoxicated. She says that an officer told her many people in the community do not realize how common driving while under the influence is during the midday hours. Many people tend to believe that driving under the influence is more associated with bad decision-making during the nighttime entertainment hours.

Fortunately, in this accident, nobody was seriously hurt, including the driver.
